Indian Equities consistently have given return of over inflation each year with median return of ~16% for 40 years period. The sensex each year corrects by ~10%. The correction of over 30% is seen only in case of black swan events like Covid or Recession. However, long term investors should be ready for price corrections every 5-7 years.
